UGS and Microsoft Changing the Game for PLM

Last week UGS announced its financial results for the first quarter of 2006. This marks the company's 11th consecutive quarter of year-over-year total revenue growth with consolidated revenue of U.S. $273.8 million, an 8 percent year-over-year increase.

Clearly the demand for product lifecycle management (PLM) continues to grow, driven by competitive pressures to increase innovation in both products and processes. And thanks to an expanding range of software capabilities it is easier than ever for companies of all sizes across numerous industries, and users in a variety of disciplines, to participate.

Earlier this month, during the 2006 World Congress on Information Technology, UGS and Microsoft jointly announced a strategic alliance designed to further empower every contributor within a company's global innovation network, essentially changing the way companies will be able to drive innovation.
