One year ago this month UGS acquired Tecnomatix Technologies Ltd. and consolidated our digital manufacturing portfolio under the Tecnomatix brand. This move, and the success we have achieved in integrating Tecnomatix into our company since that time, has enabled us to expand the breadth and strengths of our digital manufacturing offerings and provide our customers with an exceptionally versatile solution set.  The latest example of this success came last week when UGS introduced Version 7.6 of the Tecnomatix™ suite of manufacturing solutions. The new release of this portfolio provides tools for greater productivity and added value, as well as enhanced integration with Teamcenter, enabling tighter than ever collaboration across the design/build process.

As the market leader in digital manufacturing software solutions, UGS is at the forefront of a particularly significant trend in product lifecycle management (PLM). As companies continue to expand the use of PLM to build Global Innovation Networks, we see a rapidly increasing focus on digital manufacturing as a critical element of that strategy.  That is because no matter how innovative your new product concepts may be, your competitive advantage is lost if you suffer inefficient and unpredictable manufacturing processes. Digital manufacturing overcomes these barriers, providing ways to gain more value from production operations, product design investments and supply chain partnerships.
